Well this month has been a record breaker, with phenomenal numbers of mackerel being caught to the point of us bagging out the whole boat on Spanish macks numerous times. Huge schools are staying in the area and aren’t slowing up yet, we’re getting them from the surface to the bottom on floaters (pilchards), metal slugs and even on surface lures! Along with these great fish we have been catching yellowfin tuna, wahoo, spotty mackerel, cobia, mahi mahi (dolphin fish), goldband snapper, cod, moses & pearl perch, snapper, trag jew, hussar, red emperor, nannygui and even hooked (but lost) a nice black marlin!

While we are having a great time with these summer species don’t forget the winter months are yet to come and they yield some fantastic fishing off Noosa.
